This Is My Sound

In six-words: Finally making my dreams come true.

I had my first internship at KUCI today, and DJ Zhubin was gracious enough to let me have a whole hour to play whatever music I wished to play. For one whole hour it was The Ellen Show (and not the Ellen Degeneres show). STOKED. My out-of-control nerves nearly made me shit in my pants, but thank God my well-maintained digestive system was able to keep it all in. Sweaty hands, slurred words, jitters, and an extensive heat wave -- that pretty much sums up my entire show. A bit nasty, but the nastiness made it memorable. I have one more internship before the test, so if any of you guys are Orange County locals, feel free to tune in on Saturday at 2AM for the "Disturbing the Peace" show, because I'll be on cranking out some hip electronica songs, yeah!

Here's my tracklist from today:
Intern Ellen's Power Hour

Holly Miranda - Slow Burn Treason
Mellowdrone - Bone Marrow - Box
Beirut - My Night with the Prostitute from Marseille - Holland EP

Four Tet - She Moves She - Rounds
Yeasayer - Tightrope - Dark Was the Night
School of Seven Bells - Half Asleep -Alpinisms

Dodos - The Season - Visiter
Matt and Kim - Lesson Learned - Daylight
Royksopp - Miss it so Much - Junior

Fever Ray - When I Grow Up - Fever Ray

And to send us out, here is a video from Matt & Kim for their single 'Lesson Learned.'

I'm going to do this one day in New York, anyone care to join?
