Today was my mom's 50th birthday! What an achievement for her to go strong, healthy and happy for 50 years. For people like my mom, they see their 50th birthday as a marker of another passing year that edges towards old age, but in my eyes, my mother's 50th birthday is a milestone in her life. She has succeeded and overcome every obstacle and struggle thrown her way, and was strong enough to make it out as a triumphant woman. I love her, for everything she's done.
